Chemical exposure and plastics production

Issues for women’s health | A Review of literature from the National Network on Environments and Women’s Health. Prepared by Robert DeMatteo. Dec 2011 NNEWH short lit review

The literature review is part of a Canadian project by the National Network on the Environment and Women’s Health examining the breast cancer risk of women working in the plastics industry. The literature review demonstrates the current exposure limits fail to account for the low dose impact of endocrine disrupting compounds and thus fail to provide even minimal protection against a host of adverse health outcomes.
